Your time off should be your own, thatβs why Labor made the right to disconnect law β because you shouldnβt be on call 24/7 if youβre not paid 24/7.
Thatβs just one way Labor is protecting workers β weβve also recently passed new laws to protect penalty rates on minimum and award wages.
Labor is bringing life-changing medicines into reach for every Australian, because you shouldn't have to worry about the cost to get the care you need.
Medicines for breast cancer, Parkinson's disease and more were tens of thousands of dollars, from January 1 - just $25.
PASSED: Our bill to make cheaper medicines even cheaper - just $25 a script!
We've passed legislation to make medicines on the PBS cheaper, and from January 1, you won't have to pay more than $25 for a PBS script.
PASSED: Labor's bill to wipe 20% off all student debt!

Over the past three years under the Albanese Labor Government, the minimum wage has increased by 22.7%.
Under Labor, real wages are up, inflation is down, unemployment is low, incomes are growing, and weβve had two interest rate cuts in three months.
The Fair Work Commissionβs today has announced a 3.5% increase from 1 July 2025 following the Albanese Labor Governmentβs submission recommending an economically suitable real wage increase to Australian workers.
That's an additional $1,669 per year for a full-time worker.

Thank you to all SES and emergency personnel for their life saving work in keeping people out of harms way.
Tomorrow, I will be heading to the Hunter and Mid North Coast regions to assist in the coordination of Department of Defence and Federal Government resources.
As of Monday, the Australian Government have deployed ADF personnel to support the flood emergency response, assisting emergency services with planning, welfare checks, clearing routes, engineering work, and re-establishing access to critical infrastructure.

It was a great honour today to be sworn in by the Governor-General as Assistant Minister for Defence.
Iβm looking forward to delivering for all Australians, and continuing to be a strong voice for my community in Wills, both locally and in our Parliament.

π£ Just Announced: $3.7mil from a re-elected Albanese Government to upgrade Linear Parklands in North Fitzroy, North Carlton and Princes Hill!
This funding commitment is only possible if a federal Labor government is re-elected - and every seat counts to re-elect Labor.

Thatβs just one way weβre taking care of your health β along with an $8 billion investment into Medicare, and a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in Coburg and Clifton Hill.
The choice is clear on May 3, and every Labor seat lost gets Dutton one step closer to gutting Medicare.
A re-elected Albanese Labor Government will cut the cost of PBS medicine to no more than $25, or $7.70 if youβre a pensioner.
I visited Pharmacy 777 in Pascoe Vale and heard from Sara and other pharmacists on how this change will help thousands of their patients every year.

We've strengthened the PBS with two new medicines added today β Dabrafenib and trametinib for eligible children diagnosed with low-grade glioma or high-grade glioma with the BRAF V600E mutation. Without the PBS subsidy, families would have to pay $178,000 for a year of treatment.

The Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme is part of Australian values β itβs not up for negotiation.
It was great to join the PM @albomp.bsky.social and Min. for Health @markbutlermp.bsky.social at Bell Street Pharmacy here in Wills to reaffirm that Labor will always defend the PBS.

Since weβve come to Government, families paying for 30 hours of childcare per week are now $2,768 better off since September 2023, while under the Liberals, childcare prices rose by 49%.

The choice is clear on May 3, and every Labor seat lost, no matter what party it is lost to, gets Peter Dutton one step closer to gutting Medicare. The only way to lock in a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic is to vote Labor in Wills.

These clinics take pressure off our hospital emergency departments by treating for urgent issues like cuts, burns and breaks.
Weβve all known a situation where weβve needed more than a GP but less than an emergency department. Thatβs exactly why these clinics are needed in our community.
Only a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will build a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in Coburg and Clifton Hill.

In our electorate, properties priced up to $950,000 are now eligible for the scheme.
