5. Cellar Dweller (1987)
dir. John Carl Buechler
This is one of those movies I've seen pop up for years now but never got to. Time to change that. Jeffrey Combs definitely helps

4. Leprechaun (1993)
dir. Mark Jones
Can't believe I've never seen any of these before. Time to fix that
#nowwatching #horrorsky #filmsky
3. La La Land (2016)
dir. Damien Chazelle
Been a minute since I last watched this, and it was maybe on the background at a get together...
#nowwatching #filmsky
2. Evil Cat (1987)
dir. Dennis Yu Wan-Kwong
Shudder added a whole bunch of Chinese/Cantonese horror and this is my first of them. Really loving the absurdity that came out in the 80s from both

I've been listening to the Lord of the Rings soundtracks a lot lately, and I think that means it's time for a rewatch marathon soon and/or to finally read the books
03.03.2026 03:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There's a story in here that should have had at least 90 minutes to fully explore it, and I'm disappointed by the end result
03.03.2026 03:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0With that being said, I think pink films simply don't do it for me. The softcore segments at the start felt like more a hindrance than an additive, and the transgressive nature of the film has arguably been done better. Especially by the late-80s
03.03.2026 03:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've logged 2K+ different films on @letterboxd.social and this is the first time I haven't given a rating. I don't think it was necessarily a bad film, but I also failed to get anything from it that I hadn't already gotten from Videodrome or Videophobia (which definitely takes inspiration)

Glad I checked my emails before heading to bed. Had no idea this had already shipped. Can't wait to give it a spin tomorrow! Easily one of my favorite Carpenter and Lovecraftian films

1. Re-Wind (1988)
dir. Hisayasu SatΕ
Certainly not the first pink film I've watched, but I'm absolutely shocked that it's up on the @criterionchannl.bsky.social
So if they say it's okay, I guess I can't doubt their curation

A pretty good range, especially when the end of February was all Scream

March 2026 Watch Thread
I've never seen any of the Leprechaun movies, but maybe that should be my goal for this month?

2026 In Theaters!
An ever growing list that's sure to be filled with TimothΓ©e Chalamet and bad horror by the end of the year π

30. Howl's Moving Castle (2004)
dir. Hayao Miyazaki
I think this is the perfect last movie for the month
#nowwatching #filmsky #studioghibli
29. City of the Living Dead (1980)
dir. Lucio Fulci
The world got shittier again today so it's time to sink into some comfort movies. I like the fictional end to humanity than the very real one that likes to rear its ugly head these days

28. Scream 7 (2026)
dir. Kevin Williamson
Time to see what they cobbled together after gutting the heart of the requels
#nowwatching #horrorsky #filmsky
27. Scream VI (2023)
dirs. Radio Silence
I know I still have this and 7 left, but if 8 ever gets made, they need to make a point of getting it down to 90 minutes. I think this also a sign of me getting older and wanting to go to bed before midnight π
#nowwatching #horrorsky #filmsky
26. Scream (2022)
dirs. Radio Silence
I'm seeing Scream 7 tomorrow more to see what a shit show it's going to be than anything else. So that means now is better than never to finally watch 5 & 6. I've heard good things
#nowwatching #horrorsky #filmsky
25. How To Make A Killing (2026)
dir. John Patton Ford
Back to the theaters! Glen Powell seems to be a consistent theater experience for me these days
#nowwatching #filmsky
24. Saga of the Phoenix (1989)
dir. Lam Nai-Choi
The sequel to The Phoenix Saga! Slowly getting back into the stack of films from Hong Kong that I need to watch. One day I'll get through them all

I know it's definitely been a week when this is the first time I've sat down to watch a film in almost a week π

23. The Devil's Honey (1986)
dir. Lucio Fulci
It's been almost a week since I last put a movie on, so why not start with Fulci's sex thriller?
#nowwatching #horrorsky #filmsky
22. Angel's Egg (1985)
dir. Mamoru Oshii
Considering the last version I watched of this was a rip on YouTube, I'm so excited to see this new 4K scan!

This Friday the 13th's entry!

19. Iron Lung (2026)
dir. Mark Fischbach
Finally catching this right before it sneaks out of theaters. I've never watched a Markiplier vid but I know the impact he's had on horror games/youtube. Hoping for the best and that this leads to a promising career for him!
#nowwatching #horrorsky #filmsky
18. Gemini (1999)
dir. Shinya Tsukamoto
Since I'm zooming through my backlog, now on to my final Tsukamoto film in my collection. After this, only a few more left to acquire!
#nowwatching #horrorsky #filmsky
17. Embodiment of Evil (2008)
dir. JosΓ© Mojica Marins
One final Coffin Joe movie. It took me a lot longer to get through the set than I had anticipated. Hopefully this closes out the trilogy nicely
