That’s so awesome how different they are. The first group seem to prefer being cloaked and secretive and the second from the anthropomorphic novel like to show off and maybe even enjoy being seen/admired. Both sound really interesting!

Yes! He’s really been though a lot! My poor characters 🖤 But no he’s not a jerk anymore. He was having some trouble… in his heart/mind at the beginning of TCT. Made some bad choices, substances weren’t helping his situation either, but he sorted it out w/help of friends Armaiti and Mæve 😊✨

…one above, one below. Magic courses through these two systems. The conduits are the Chrysillium trees which are born when a Shalik calls down a star and plants into the earth (or Zama in this world).

Oh yes! I could geek out about this for quite a bit! It’s one of main components of Ulli’s magic system and where the title of this WIP comes from (The Mycellium Forest). This is talked about in all the books but maybe in most detail in book 1 TCT, but on Ulli there is the æther and the mycellium…

Finn has scars on his torso and hands due to a rough childhood growing up on the streets of Shí Lou where he had been in more than one knife fight.

Elijwa has scars that are physiological. I can’t say much about it other than she suffered a terrible trauma and after 19 years still struggles.

Isaac is missing his left eye and that side of his face is terribly scared. In TCT, he was known for his good looks and he was a bit of a jerk. Just as he was starting to change he was captured and tortured—hence the eye and the scar. Mæve and Jaleh healed him as best they could but it left a mark.

Fox’s scar sounds so interesting! Can’t help but wonder about the deeper ramifications of this mark 🖤✨
