My son made 5th in the state!! I am so proud of him for wrestling his butt off and qualifying for state, and then placing at state as a FRESHMAN!! This is one PROUD MAMA!!

Almost a macro shot of the tip of the long flowering stalk of the Mexican lily. It shows multiple blossoms budding out from the stalk. The stalk and petals are pink and the buds have yellow stamens emerging. The stalk is very long and it was planted in a raised planter, so I could stand underneath and have the blue sky as a backdrop with the sun backlighting the tips.
