People of Illinois, we need your help.

Get your cell phones out โ€“ record what you see. Put it on social media. Peacefully ask for badge numbers and identification. Speak up for your neighbors.

We need to let the world know this is happening โ€“ and that we wonโ€™t stand for it.

When a man says violence against women isnโ€™t a crime, they told you who they are, and you can believe it or you can explain it away, but then you know who you are, too

US Taxpayers Will Pay Billions in New Fossil Fuel Subsidies Thanks to the Big Beautiful Bill A report finds that President Trumpโ€™s flagship legislation will grant $40 billion in new subsidies to the oil and gas industry over the next decade.

The Trump administration has already added nearly $40 billion in new federal subsidies for oil, gas, and coal in 2025, a report released Tuesday finds, sending an additional $4 billion out the door each year for fossil fuels over the next decade.

And guess what, taxpayers are going to pay for it.

"Young ordered the restoration of $783 million in federal funding for fiscal year 2025 โ€” a portion of which, totaling millions, was allocated to Harvard โ€” before the Supreme Court stayed the order nearly two months later. (The total multi-year funding pool affected by Youngโ€™s ruling included $3.8 billion in grants, many of which were partially paid out before the freeze. According to a Crimson analysis of court filings, Harvard was awarded more than 140 grants within that pool, with a combined multi-year value exceeding $60 million.)

Harvard expected the grants listed in Youngโ€™s ruling to flow back to researchers, according to a person familiar with the matter, even though the White House had imposed a block on all Harvard grants as part of its initial funding cut in April.

But the funds never arrived, and Harvard wrote in an August press release from the School of Public Health that the NIH was continuing to โ€œblock disbursement of any funds to Harvard University.โ€

According to one person, Harvard has been unable to access any funds from the NIH since April because of the restrictions imposed by DOGE through its oversight of the NIHโ€™s payment system, including in the two-month period in which Youngโ€™s ruling mandated that grant awards listed in the ruling be resumed."

All I think about when I hear people say that itโ€™s bad taste to dance on Hulk Hoganโ€™s grave is that Emmett Tillโ€™s monument had to be replaced with a 500lb steel bulletproof monument because white people simply wonโ€™t stop riddling it with bullets. So now it just has tons of dents. From bullets.

RFK Jr. has fired all members of the Preventive Services Task Force, which requires insurance companies to cover certain treatments. The Supreme Court ruled he could do so in June.

Likely next step: Appointing quacks who will end mandatory insurance coverage for PrEP.

This may turn out to be really bad. By removing all members of USPSTF, he can place whoever he wants without congressional oversight and they can take away health insurance coverage for preventive screenings, HIV testing, etc.

Vought's comments set off Hill furor as shutdown threat looms

We said this bill will embolden Trump and Vought to enact massive NIH budget cuts via another rescission.

Now Vought confirms. 1/
