Though Iโ€™m not from the area, my wife grew up in NW as a huge Bears fan; Iโ€™ve made that drive & know it is not a short one. That said, is the situation all that different from the 49ers playing in Santa Clara (a similarly long drive) if you donโ€™t like the Blazers in Vancouver, WA comparison?

You are right, but I donโ€™t think Trump is capable of that kind of restraint. He *still* thinks he is the administrationโ€™s best messenger, on almost any topic.

While I tend to agree with you, even though itโ€™s Indiana, itโ€™s still โ€œChicagolandโ€ theyโ€™re considering. Itโ€™s not like theyโ€™re moving to Omaha or something. Itโ€™s like if the Portland Trailblazers built a new arena across the river in Vancouver, WA - same metropolitan area.

Hey Alford! Donโ€™t like the need for judicially-authorized warrants based on probable cause for searches & seizures? Take it up with the drafters of the 4th Amendment. Or try to repeal it & see where THAT gets you. What a fโ€™ing moron. Seriously, this comment is disqualifying.

WA voter. Weโ€™ve been using vote-by-mail nearly exclusively for ~20+ years. I *used* to drop my ballot in the mail, but Trump 1.0 & the massive destruction of USPS undermined ANY confidence I had in my ballot being received on time by mail. Iโ€™ve used drop boxes ever since, & should have that right.

In an echo from the last election, โ€œyeah but it doesnโ€™t FEEL that way.โ€

Not good, & if he is guilty of a crime let him be prosecuted & punished. But focusing on him to the exclusion of MANY other men is inappropriate. Especially the CURRENT president.

At roughly $10M in box office receipts, thatโ€™s about $8M more than I thought it would makeโ€ฆbut still pretty far short of the ~$75M it needs to make to break even. Capitulation has its price, ya knowโ€ฆ.

I do not know if this is within the MVP rules, but (& I mean no disrespect to K9, who played a GREAT game) if possible the *most* deserving recipient of the MVP would have been the Seahawks defense as a whole.

Hess just expressed what 60%+ of the country would say if they were in his shoes.

09.02.2026 06:44 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Iโ€™d certainly rather have Hunter Hess represent me than Donald Trump.

Totally agree about removing *some* important content from behind the paywall. Itโ€™s a great loss leader & advertisement for the quality of your product. The long lost Post, which I joined after Twitter but before here, had a cool micropayment platform that helped overcome this problem.

Seems about right. Matt played here (Seattle), Tim didnโ€™t. Their dad played most of his career for the Patriots, & I think they both grew up in New England.

Mattโ€™s right, though.

I like that youโ€™ve picked the under & a relatively close game. I think it will be slightly less close than that. Seahawks 24-17.

05.02.2026 22:44 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 3    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Donโ€™t stop there, Senator!

Those percentages tell me that NOTHING that has happened has moved MAGA an inch. They are FINE with *all* of this. Fortunately, 41% wonโ€™t win many electionsโ€ฆbut it is beyond disgusting to me that they canโ€™t or wonโ€™t see the limits of lawful behavior vs immoral, illegal, unconstitutional behavior.

29.01.2026 01:47 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 4    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I think some of them will never vote for him, but enough who didnโ€™t *this time* will that he will get in on one of the next couple ballots he appears on. Iโ€™d agree *those* people are unserious. Iโ€™m not sure I would characterize the first group that way, even if I disagree & would vote differently.

28.01.2026 22:41 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

They also reportedly spent another $35M to promote the film. I would bet that even with the MAGA faithful likely to watch at some point, โ€œMelaniaโ€ will struggle to make even $1M in its opening weekend, & wonโ€™t come VLOSE to making money for Amazon. I wouldnโ€™t watch that movie if *they* paid *me.*

28.01.2026 22:23 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I wouldnโ€™t have refused to vote for him in some kind of ethics-based protest, but it is refusing to acknowledge context a bit to ignore how the multiple scandals surrounding Belichick (Spygate, Deflate-gate) impacted this vote. Heโ€™ll get in, despite this meaningless first-ballot refusal.

28.01.2026 22:17 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I thought this first, when Trump posted the same thought, but itโ€™s true of MAGA more generally too: every accusation is a confession. Makes you think a bit about that โ€œassassinationโ€ attempt & Trumpโ€™s magically-regrowing ear, doesnโ€™t it?

28.01.2026 22:12 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 6    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

โ€œThe worst experience Iโ€™ve ever had in a theater.โ€ - Abraham Lincoln.

28.01.2026 20:44 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I wouldnโ€™t watch that film if they paid *me* to go to the theater.

28.01.2026 20:36 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

What *possible* authority or jurisdiction would ICE have in Italy? Good God, this is as embarrassing as it is disgusting.

28.01.2026 18:20 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Hey Senate Democrats: DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. First, itโ€™s not nearly enough, & second, heโ€™ll go right back to the same old BS the minute you back down.

28.01.2026 18:16 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 9    ๐Ÿ” 2    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Iโ€™m sorry for all the invective & BS this president & his party throw at you. Nobody deserves that, but (IMO) particularly not you. You are a good person & wonderful public servant & I hope you know there are many millions of people out there who would agree with me about that.

28.01.2026 17:56 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Well, as a Seahawks fan I might take issue with the โ€œanyoneโ€ and/or โ€œHawksโ€ part, but I certainly didnโ€™t think the Pats would be there. Neither did the NFL. The guys in the foreground are the ones that have had the most success in recent years. Maye & Darnold are not in the front, theyโ€™re way back.

28.01.2026 17:51 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Iโ€™m not sure why you think from my comment that Iโ€™m up for debating any of the scandals Belichickโ€™s Patriots were involved in, or the merits (or lack thereof) of any punishments meted out. I will say that your 1st point makes no sense to me, Iโ€™d dispute the 2nd, & the 3rd involved โ€œDeflate-gate.โ€

27.01.2026 23:28 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I get that the cheating scandals bother people, but itโ€™s hard (IMO, anyway) to argue that those schemes impacted his record that much, or that the record is not worthy. Maybe itโ€™s enough to deny him first ballot (or early ballot) enshrinement, but he should get in. Before he dies, too.

27.01.2026 23:18 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Amen. His walk back is just political spin for a SERIOUS political (and, as you say, moral) misjudgment. He should not be let off the hook so easily, though I do admire a politician who is willing to say โ€œI was wrong,โ€ even if it is anything but courageous.

27.01.2026 02:38 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Two words, Karoline: Kyle. Rittenhouse. Or maybe two more: Ashlii. Babbitt.

Both have been lionized for their violent actions in โ€œprotestsโ€ they brought weapons to. In Rittenhouseโ€™s case, an assault rifle he used to shoot other protestors. THEY are not appropriate targets but Alex Pretti is?
