You are right, but I don’t think Trump is capable of that kind of restraint. He *still* thinks he is the administration’s best messenger, on almost any topic.

While I tend to agree with you, even though it’s Indiana, it’s still “Chicagoland” they’re considering. It’s not like they’re moving to Omaha or something. It’s like if the Portland Trailblazers built a new arena across the river in Vancouver, WA - same metropolitan area.

WA voter. We’ve been using vote-by-mail nearly exclusively for ~20+ years. I *used* to drop my ballot in the mail, but Trump 1.0 & the massive destruction of USPS undermined ANY confidence I had in my ballot being received on time by mail. I’ve used drop boxes ever since, & should have that right.

Not good, & if he is guilty of a crime let him be prosecuted & punished. But focusing on him to the exclusion of MANY other men is inappropriate. Especially the CURRENT president.

At roughly $10M in box office receipts, that’s about $8M more than I thought it would make…but still pretty far short of the ~$75M it needs to make to break even. Capitulation has its price, ya know….

I do not know if this is within the MVP rules, but (& I mean no disrespect to K9, who played a GREAT game) if possible the *most* deserving recipient of the MVP would have been the Seahawks defense as a whole.

Those percentages tell me that NOTHING that has happened has moved MAGA an inch. They are FINE with *all* of this. Fortunately, 41% won’t win many elections…but it is beyond disgusting to me that they can’t or won’t see the limits of lawful behavior vs immoral, illegal, unconstitutional behavior.

I think some of them will never vote for him, but enough who didn’t *this time* will that he will get in on one of the next couple ballots he appears on. I’d agree *those* people are unserious. I’m not sure I would characterize the first group that way, even if I disagree & would vote differently.

They also reportedly spent another $35M to promote the film. I would bet that even with the MAGA faithful likely to watch at some point, “Melania” will struggle to make even $1M in its opening weekend, & won’t come VLOSE to making money for Amazon. I wouldn’t watch that movie if *they* paid *me.*

I wouldn’t have refused to vote for him in some kind of ethics-based protest, but it is refusing to acknowledge context a bit to ignore how the multiple scandals surrounding Belichick (Spygate, Deflate-gate) impacted this vote. He’ll get in, despite this meaningless first-ballot refusal.

I thought this first, when Trump posted the same thought, but it’s true of MAGA more generally too: every accusation is a confession. Makes you think a bit about that “assassination” attempt & Trump’s magically-regrowing ear, doesn’t it?

Well, as a Seahawks fan I might take issue with the “anyone” and/or “Hawks” part, but I certainly didn’t think the Pats would be there. Neither did the NFL. The guys in the foreground are the ones that have had the most success in recent years. Maye & Darnold are not in the front, they’re way back.

I’m not sure why you think from my comment that I’m up for debating any of the scandals Belichick’s Patriots were involved in, or the merits (or lack thereof) of any punishments meted out. I will say that your 1st point makes no sense to me, I’d dispute the 2nd, & the 3rd involved “Deflate-gate.”

I get that the cheating scandals bother people, but it’s hard (IMO, anyway) to argue that those schemes impacted his record that much, or that the record is not worthy. Maybe it’s enough to deny him first ballot (or early ballot) enshrinement, but he should get in. Before he dies, too.

Amen. His walk back is just political spin for a SERIOUS political (and, as you say, moral) misjudgment. He should not be let off the hook so easily, though I do admire a politician who is willing to say “I was wrong,” even if it is anything but courageous.

Both have been lionized for their violent actions in “protests” they brought weapons to. In Rittenhouse’s case, an assault rifle he used to shoot other protestors. THEY are not appropriate targets but Alex Pretti is?
