To ‘fleece’ someone means to take something, usually money, from that person in a dishonest way.

The noun ‘fleece’ refers to the wool that covers a sheep.

When you are fleeced, you are stripped of something much in the way that fleece is shorn from a sheep.

As far as I can tell, this passed the Florida Senate this morning - minors can now work through the night, longer than 8hrs without a 30 minute break, etc. DeSantis worked as a kid and he turned out "just fine". 🙄
