‘A gut punch:’ How U.S. neuroscience trainees are grappling with diversity-based funding flux Ten trainees spoke with The Transmitter about how the precarious state of U.S. federal funding is affecting their research and career plans.

Young researchers are essential for us to improve human health and society.

The fear and confusion caused by current administration has real consequences that real people have to face.

Help tell their story and support science across the US.

What if we all got together and crowdfunded science communication from folks who just lost their jobs/funding?

Like patreon, $1/month to sponsor each scicommer and we compile all the folks participating, gathering hundreds of amazing scientists and admins to speak out on why their work matters

Federal investments have ripple effects. Funded graduate students started @colorsofthebrain.bsky.social, an undergraduate research program where ~70% of students joined postbacc, graduate schools, technician, or lab manager roles after graduation. Over half had no prior science research experience!
