That's hard to know. There were no overt indications, from what I've read. But he may have used Ozma and his Oz books as a way of living out his hidden self. We will never know for sure. We can only speculate.

I just get the ick when I see people suddenly embracing Marjorie Taylor Greene and eulogizing Dick Cheney.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend," is a poor philosophy to live by, because it means you're ignoring past bad behavior.

Be better than that. Be principled and pick your friends carefully.
