This is a councilor who thinks he's helping pedestrians while actually prioritizing cars. The complete failure to recognize the real problem is basically our city motto at this point.

Look at the bike lanes on Bloor/Danforth. The street redesign got more people moving on the street AND created 24h parking while making the flow of traffic much more orderly and less hectic.

Literally every user of that street benefitted.

I can't tell you how much I hate this framing. Better bike infrastructure and public transit also makes the streets better for drivers. It's just that people have been lied to so much (including via headlines like this) that they believe the opposite.
