(I used to think that I was a heavy user until I saw @ashleywylde.bsky.social clip the 1k mark after only eight months in. 2-3 hours every fri/sat/sun evening marks me as a filthy casual. I feel like making three avatars from scratch and being an FBT dork should count for something though.)

I crossed the thousand-hour mark about a week ago, after three years of strapping in almost every weekend. It's wild to think about how this platform has changed my life - initially it was a safe place to find friends outside the scrutiny of social media, now it's the core of my social life.

We didn't remain in contact after I left the bay area, but hearing that he's gone feels like a reminder that you can't go home again. But I hope that's not true.
