YES: Democrats have this horrible habit of not asking for things they can't get. Which means there is no opportunity to ever build expectation that those things should happen.

the only thing democrats should be saying today is “the entire republican party is engaged in a coverup of the most notorious child sex trafficking ring in world history”

I know this is a big revelation but on some level the claim that Trump didn’t know is so completely absurd (“a secret is a wonderful thing”) that it doesn’t feel like a revelation at all.

I maintain that the obvious explanation for what is happening worldwide right now is that, thanks to media fragmentation, almost every politically informed person exists within a community of ENDLESS INDULGENCE, where you are actively encouraged to embrace cathartic narratives as unimpeachably true.

Tonight’s Senate vote on the federal government shutdown should have been a time for strength.

Instead we saw capitulation and a betrayal of working Americans.
