Par with Nagahama just to complete the anime within deadline, and forget to mention the Stodio changed when the prod restarted after COVID even for ep 1, If you want to see the true Nagahama cinema then watch Aku no Hana (the flowers of evil) dir by him, 12 rotoscoped anime and one of my fav.

There's were very few people in the prod who can match the skills Nagahama required, so the production committee banned him from the meeting past ep 1 means he only storyboarded the other eps not actually worked, and they decided to outsource the eps to other studios that don't have the talent on-

The reason was because of COVID the production was halted and needs to start completely from the scratch,
And the reason behind the first ep looking soo good is because it was made by the searies dir Nagahama he's a very visionary man and that's why he taken alot of time for the first ep because-

NOPE BEGONE.
