Some familiar signs in the English league system, but sounds like Germany has more problems and less drive to remove them. The gulf to the 2nd tier is definitely something we see over here too.
Interesting read, thank you.

Germany may not have reached this final, they haven't won the title since 2013, even. However, the groundwork set by the women of Germany ensured a dynasty of success before everyone else caught up. I just wish the DFB had properly built on that.

And it is plasuible, nothing I said was definitive, but all adds up to be too suspicious for me.
12.04.2025 15:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Saarland disintegrated before they could play in the Ehrenliga, Saarland's top flight, but they were promoted into it in 1950/51. First Saarland club in the top flight since FC SaarbrΓΌcken were relegated in 1992/93.
12.04.2025 14:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Guinee tends to be printed in blockier characters, no tag in collar, mismatch of number and Guinee colour, I haven't seen any photos of that particular design in use, dodgy internal tag by the Enerre one, material looks off, and it looks brand new. I'd be suspicious, personally.

Certainly sounds like an interesting experience! I've never had the "pleasure" of looking for a replica from the country itself, so I can't really help. Only ever dealt with swapped shirts or a Moldovan private seller.

Katharina Risch scores a consolation goal in Liechtenstein's 6-1 loss in Armenia to mark Liechtenstein's competitive women's football debut. A rough night out in snowy Armenia, but a fantastic goal!

I'm really glad the size wasn't offensive π
I try to limit myself to actual team shirts, I do badly enough as it is. Training material crops up every so often, but I try to have SOME boundaries.
The KAK have confirmed that they've been invited to visit CONCACAF HQ on 27th February. Been a long time since we last heard of CONCACAF mobilising for a potential new member. The last time we heard such rumours, nothing came of them, but promising signs nonetheless π¬π±

In this week's shirt history thread we'll look at Vanuatu, a few gaps in the timeline, but some great shirts.
Starting with this Adidas shirt at the 1987 South Pacific Games.
Another gap filled in the Icelandic photo history! 1992 friendly in Israel. I was expecting the 1991-92 away, but absolutely not the ABM shirt that the women's side used in Scotland. Disastrous for collection goals, but interesting historically.
11.12.2024 08:02 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Nah, Sweden away was the Puma shirt. Lovely quality video. An away of the Adidas would probably be youth football, if it exists.
07.12.2024 11:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That away shirt is so frustrating. I've tried so many possible sources. Also, 2000 saw this (possibly) one-off shirt against Switzerland, though I did once hear a claim of an away shirt (potentially the Sweden away match in 2001).
