Do you ever get to a point in your PhD when you can repeatedly type your topic area without a spelling error?
It sometimes feels like I spend more time accepting spelling errors of 'decentralised' than anything else (including in the this)

If you have a few minutes today to fill this in, or to share it with your friends, family, or wider network, it would be really appreciated.
I’ve worked with 2 public involvement groups to design this survey, and together we are keen to influence how tech is used to collect data in clinical trials.

Got the green light from the ethics committee today to launch my patient and public survey! 🎉
I’m excited to drive forward this important public involvement work as part of my PhD on DCTs.
I’ll be exploring patient and public preferences for using technology to collect data in clinical trials.
@imperialctu.bsky.social Euros Sweepstake has been assigned ahead of the first game!
As a new (but very enthusiastic) football fan I’m looking forward to what the next month brings ⚽️❤️
Who will you be getting behind?
Day 2 of the NIHR Stats conference!
Today I’ll be facilitating a breakout session with Jack Elkes, Marie Miller and Francesco Lala from @imperialctu.bsky.social This session was born out of our survey of barriers and facilitators in RCTs of digital health interventions (and a love of board games)!
If you’re at the NIHR Statistics conference today Leila and I will be presenting on Outcome Selection in innovative designs!

It’s that time! If you can, please consider donating blood.
Levels are low at the moment so it’s even more important to show up and book an appointment!

Thank you!!
Great to share the insights on the trials identified in my review and how there’s so much variation in how we can conducted decentralised trials.
I hope this can encourage researchers to think about how decentralisation may have a place in their trials!
First ever conference presentation done!
I have had a great time at The Society for Clinical Trials 46th Annual Meeting and presenting was the cherry on the top.
Excited to share more of my research as my PhD progresses 💫
Now to take some time to explore Vancouver
Here at The Society for Clinical Trials 46th Annual Meeting with the brilliant Consuelo from @statsci.bsky.social @imperialctu.bsky.social who had her poster session this morning!

I couldn’t sleep at all last night
1. Jet lag
2. I was worried the font in my presentation would mess up all my slides and all I could think (and dream) about was changing it when I got up
En route to Vancouver! See you all there 🇨🇦❤️

Honoured to have been awarded Best Presenter (2nd) at the @imperialcollegeldn.bsky.social School of Public Health PhD Symposium.
It was great to share the results of my systematic review and show how they motivate my other work packages.
Great confidence boost to present at the SCT Conference!
I couldn’t agree more. After serving as a juror on a high-profile case two years ago, the experience had a significant impact on my mental health. I sought out counselling through the NHS at the time, but even now, I still feel the effects of having sat on that jury.

A quick round up of #cctmm25 organised by @imperialctu.bsky.social and NIHR RSS!
Day 1 had a range of brilliant speakers and overall was a very inspiring day of clinical trials! Can’t wait for the next one
There’s no motivation to finish a paper more than the chance to meet Arsenal and Lioness legend Beth Mead!
Paper in its final form and a picture with Meado, epic Thursday ♥️
I often collaborate with the @imperialcollegeldn.bsky.social content team and most recently I have written a blog introducing myself and my PhD!
Helpful read if you're looking to embark on your PhD journey and there are other student stories are available to read

I love an ink blend for Lino! The depth it adds is just gorgeous. I printed up the second layer on these last night at my class. I’m not normally that fussed about pink but I think that’s my favourite #printmaking #lino

With the first year of my PhD nearly over (time flies!), I had my Early Stage Assessment today!
It was great to discuss my research so far and future plans. My assessors asked great questions that I look forward to reflecting on.
Overall, far less daunting than I expected and an amazing milestone!
A print of Edinburgh I made in my Linocut art class! So happy with how it came out; 4 weeks worth of work in one piece

Currently low response rates from CTU Directors (n=5), Programmers/Data Managers (n=0), & QA Managers (n=3) working in clinical trials. We need to know what these groups think the challenges are for greener trials.
