As well as controlling the news, EM tried to control us too. I created my account in 2007. When he took over, I had nothing but problems. I lost count how many times I was suspended. For this reason, I don't tweet and I'm careful what I say. You have to self-censor.

I just searched my posts here for relevant posts. I've got enough for a thread. This backs up what you said how shitty Twitter is. We don't have anywhere for breaking news anymore.

I'd say people do realise. I noticed the weekend of 7 Oct it was useless for breaking news. I looked around and landed on Guardian and Al Jazeera liveblogs.
Hate/rage bots used to be annoying but now they're just spam to me, I scroll past.

People have quit Twitter. Many have drifted back but engagement is low, our accounts are suppressed.

The right wing are boosted, incl bot accounts. About half the accounts on Twitter are bots, Grok confirmed.

So govt policy is being based on Twitter litter blah blah.
