BREAKING: The Golden Knights are closing in on acquiring Mitch Marner in a sign-and-trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs, source confirms to @reviewjournal.com.

This will pave the way for Marner to sign an eight-year contract with the Golden Knights at an AAV of $12 million.

The retention of Sissons' $2.857 million cap hit puts the Golden Knights at $2,186,429 million in cap space.

Trade is official.

Golden Knights are also sending a 2027 3rd to Nashville, along with Nic Hague, for Sissons and Lauzon. The 3rd becomes a 2nd if the Knights win two rounds in the playoffs.
