If it were just this, sure: Anyone could carelessly quote an inoffensive post from someone who turns out to be vile. But if you do it after a whole controversy about a Nazi tattoo, and then gush about a rabidly antisemitic podcast, either you’ve got a toe in the swamp or HORRENDOUS judgment.

My theory of Bruen is the majority was really only thinking about how/where/what guns can be carried, but as they were clearing the path for striking down assault weapons bans, magazine limits, etc, they whoopsied themselves into arming wifebeaters, felons, drug users, and are now playing cleanup.

Even if you share my civil libertarian skepticism of this particular law, Mike is correct. It's fundamentally unfair and anti-democratic for the Supreme Court to fault the Congress of 1968 for failing to foresee Second Amendment principles that SCOTUS would make up out of whole cloth decades later.

I work in this business, too, and what makes me so livid is this kind of crap insulting the readers intelligence. The editors at the paper understand the marching orders. Pretending op-ed is just one persons opinion and not part of a larger agenda is silly and disingenuous.
