A huge congratulations to Nancy Wilkes for receiving the title as 2025 Acton Citizen of the Year! A dinner, hosted by the Rotary Club of Acton, was held at the Acton Town Hall Centre in her honour tonight (October 14th) where friends and family came out to celebrate Nancy.

A beautiful day for a walk around the farm to take in some of the Fall colours as they begin to appear!

Was in town this morning and checked out some of the events going on, including a visit to the Rotary Club of Acton Ontario Trunk Sale where I picked up this cool Ghostbusters Ecto-1!

It was an honour to witness the unveiling of the Veterans Crosswalk in Downtown Acton this evening. Congrats to the Legion and everyone involved in seeing this project through - a perfect way to pay tribute to those who have served and sacrificed.

Olive sure likes to snuggle on these gloomy days, as she purrs contently on my shoulders.

Today, I was presented with a certificate from Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Joseph Racinsky in honour of Acton's Bicentennial celebrations. It is always an honour to be a representative of our local history.

Did some gourd harvesting. A lot of them this year are orange and in funny shapes! There are probably more I missed while picking, but it's a start with 30 so far.

Some nice, clear sky evenings lately as seen from the backyard.

I am happy to report that the Acton Bicentennial time capsule project is a "go" as it was approved by Town of Halton Hills Council at today's meeting! Lots of work ahead in the next while, and updates regarding the project will be made on my Facebook page Vintage Acton.

We spent the evening getting the old Massey Ferguson 510 combine running for another season of harvesting grain. I always love the rumble of the 1960s GM 327 engine.

Another day of baling hay.

Did some Sunday evening driving around the area and happened to stop to get this photo of the gates at the Glen Williams cemetery. The smokey sky and the orange sun made for an almost eerie but intriguing photo!

This evening's view from our back deck. Calm and peaceful with a nice glowing sunset.

While out for a walk through the cattle pasture, earlier today, I happen to spot this Green Frog hiding in the grass. Native to eastern North America, they practice "sit and wait" hunting and therefore eat prey such as insects, small snakes and even other smaller frogs.
