Climate change strikes again. The same is happening up here on Cape Cod and to Plum Island. There was plenty of barrier beach when they were built but it's being washed away.

There's a tiny bit of northeast MA in Level 1 drought. And there I sit.

I read an article that said parts of the west may never recover from drought. But I hear coal is coming back. ๐Ÿ™„
Vancouver Islands sounds wonderful! I'm looking at the PNW and Newfoundland for 2026.

We've been out of drought exactly 3 weeks since May, 2024. The bigger issue is that the water table and underground springs haven't had adequate time to recover. Foliage will be a crap shoot this fall. We were wet until early May.

Her exact words, "if you tell me that your doctor said to get vaccinated, then I vaccinate you. It's not my job to question your doctor. You're doctor recommended that for a reason."

Hi Scott, nice to "see" you this morning! No rain to speak of. We are in drought, again. Most towns have water bans in effect. Every summer.
Ocean water temp this morning was 68ยฐ. In the north Atlantic. Matched the air temp! Hope all is well with you!

Regarding our conversation - I'll link the part of the CDC website that lists qualifying conditions. I asked the pharmacist at CVS (just to check) if they would be requiring proof. She said "absolutely not".

We go into drought every summer. My house is 100% on well water, so I reuse what I can.

I use it to water my indoor and out door plants. Even the shrubs. I collect the gray water from my kitchen sink, as well and use it for outdoor watering. My neighbor actually had a gray water system installed for outdoor watering. I want one.

You're speaking my niece's language. She loves goats! She also has a Shetland pony who is the sweetest, little guy.

I usually attend school committee meetings. I'm going to ask if anyone has kept track of heat related illness.

I don't think most parents realize how out of touch most school districts are. Up here, I doubt that anyone has even given thought to this. Every year there is at least one child making the news because they have collapsed on the field due to heat.
