I've been watching a fan rotate counterclockwise for days and I'm still not left-handed. What the heck.

I don't want to step in it (famous words before stepping in it) ... nah, I just looked up his tattoo ... straight up nazi shit. Was he unaware? Who knows. I was going to say I've known people who've removed tattoos after they got associated with groups affirming neo-nazi or nazi beliefs.

These things sneak up on you. Last book of the year.

Everything I do comes with a large dose of imposter syndrome. I think I should just hide under the blankets forever.

Two books for spooky season:
COFFIN MOON, Keith Rosson: Best modern vampire story ever (although it's set in the 70s).
THE TWISTED ONES, by T. Kingfisher: It lures you in with chatty good humor (especially about NPR Pledge Week) and a lovely dog...then slams the door and bites you in the dark.

Interesting to retcon a son. I only read a couple of the Spenser legacy books. None of the others even though I like Coleman's Moe Prager books.

Has anyone watched the new Maigret series? The preview feels too contemporary for the series. I really liked Rowan Atkinson's portrayal a few years ago. Surprising because I'd never seen him in a non-comedic role.
