#Reform used to have one policy but now has two. Immigration has been joined by filling potholes (a rather useless activity according to ALARM reports as they soon become potholes again). As for economics, they will rely on Truss's example.

This Ramadan, know this: I am me, a Muslim and a Briton. I am not a headline, a threat or a stereotype | Nazir Afzal I am, like millions of others, dutifully fasting from dawn to dusk this month. My faith does not define me. It refines me, says Nazir Afzal, chancellor of the University of Manchester

At every election in Britain it is customary for losing candidates to clap the winner. Note how the losing Reform chap didn't clap Hannah's win in Gorton and Denton? Bad losers, bad form, Reform don't respect British culture.

UBI has been Green Party policy since the 1970s but it may now be too late. We allowed the ultra-wealthy to get wealthier and collar natural resources and they now have robot slaves. Where does that leave humans, without UBI in place? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The #Green plumber won decisively. Politics of #hope and ordinary working folk won the day in Gorton and Denton over politics of #hate and millionaires. Fantastic news 😁for Manchester.

#Labour encourages more kids by lifting the 2-child πŸ§’πŸ‘Άbenefit cap. #Greens would apply a universal child benefit with no 2-child limit. #Reform objects and would re-impose a 2-child limit πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘§. Why? Do they think children πŸ§’πŸ‘ΆπŸ§’should grow up in poverty or Britain needs fewer children πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘§ or both?

Farage's explosion against the Bank of England governor at Question Time accusing him of earning too much by shoring up sterling was staged to win votes in Gorton and Denton. Perhaps it did? Even though Farage, Tice and their cronies 'earn' much more by undermining sterling?

Faarage thinks he can control overt racism and misogyny in his party but he can't. He has entrenched the hatred with his own anti-migrant rhetoric. We now have #Turqshirts instead of blackshirts.

#GortonandDenton tomorrow will be a test for British democracy. Will the millionaires who fund right-wing #Reform propaganda win again? Or can a #Green local plumber who relies on members and small donors defeat them?

Living wage was Green Party policy before it was Labour's. Green councillors since the early 2000s have promoted breakfast clubs. So I don't get your point; as people voted Green they presumably do need such things in Stoneygate?

Oh dear, Reform in Leicestershire are a mess. Only Feb and so far in 2026 one councillor defects to join Kent rebels, one resigns, one apologises for their conduct towards female staff and in Stoneygate Ward byelection in Leicester city they get wiped out by the Greens and come 6th.
