Happy birthday, have a great day Orla!

I've made a compilation of last month's drawings for ToonJune in one handy place. Hope you enjoy!

Shades O' Reilly and Judge Kavanagh are surrounded by a Looney Tunes-style backdrop and wave to the viewer. Underneath there is text reading "Sin é, a chairde!", the Irish translation of "that's all, folks!".

And that's a wrap! 'Twas good fun and I can't believe we managed to get through all of ToonJune! Thanks everyone for liking and sharing my doodles. Glad to know they brightened your day.

A piano has just crashed on top of Shades. Still, he sits upright, dazed and confused, and smiles with piano keys for teeth.

Looks like that piano from Day 8 came back after all...

Shades is juggling eggs and he winces as a cracked egg dribbles down his face. It's enough to make him forget about the other three eggs that are still mid-air and coming down fast.

Shades wears swimming trunks, a snorkel and goggles as he swan-dives of a tall diving board aiming for the tiny metal bucket on the ground.

Day 27 of #ToonJune: Plummet
"You did fill it, right?"
Well, let's not jump to any conclusions here...

A two-panel comic. The first part shows Shades beaming with pride as he is awarded a gold medal. The second part shows the weight of the medal yanking Shades's neck to the ground. It's heavy enough that it causes cracks on the ground to appear.

Shades dons a party hat and has difficulty blowing out the candle of a birthday cake. He doesn't realise it's actually a lit stick of cartoonish TNT...

Oh sweet, someone brought cake! This candle's a tough one to blow out though...

Kavanagh leans back on her tail and kicks Shades. He holds on to his hat as he soars through the air, leaving a cartoonish trail behind him.

"Here we go again!" *boing!*

Shades crash lands into Judge Kavanagh's pouch with his paws and tail poking out. She is not thrilled about this.

"Ahem, do you mind?"

Shades has slipped on a banana peel. He pulls a wild take expression as he soars through the air and is about to crash.

Pulling from the comedy classics with this one. Brace for landing!

A hyena dressed in the style of a famous DC villain (ahem ahem) loops a scarf around Shades's neck. He threatens him, "Wanna know how I got these scarves?". Shades replies "Uh... Penneys, hun?"

A bat hangs upside-down from a branch (He may or may not resemble a certain DC super hero, ahem ahem). He has one eye open as he peers into Shades. Shades is looking up asking "So are you gonna help solve the case... or just hang around?"

Shades is struck by a bolt of lightning, making his skeleton visible for all.

Day 19 of #ToonJune: Shock
Was wondering what to draw for this one. Then it struck me.

Shades stands over a giant X on a sound stage littered with cartoon props: a rake, a bowling ball, an oversized magnet, a box and a stick of TNT, custard pies and also a tonne weight hanging over him. He shouts "You want me to do WHAT for this scene?" as he reads over the script. Judge Kavanagh sits in the director chair looking on, megaphone in hand. Geez, why can't folks just hit their marks?

Lights! Camera! Hold up...

Shades is puzzled as he examines a trail of paw prints with his magnifying glass. The trail of paw prints lead on the ground, then up and around the walls. What he doesn't see is the gecko on the wall, donned in a black and white stripy jumper and a domino mask, classic burglar outfit.

Judge Kavanagh sits behind her messy desk. Instead of a judicial wig, she wears a colourful clown wig. She also wears a dour expression, holding her chin in her hand and rapping the desk with her fingers out of annoyance.

A giant sized anvil splats Shades O' Reilly and dust clouds swirl around him. His snout, limbs and tail poke out underneath. His hat and sunglasses have flown off from the impact.

A dirty saucepan sits on the hob. Shades is holding a jar with a picture of a chilli on it. His face is ashen as smoke billows around him.

Talk about a flavour bomb!

A black cat cracking his knuckles and a magpie brandishing a cartoonishly-sized mallet loom over Shades O' Reilly menacingly. Shades looks up, worried.

A black cat and a single magpie? Must be my lucky day.

A hot air balloon hangs in the sky whilst the jovial hedgehog pilot says "... and I'm qualified and certified!". An anxious Shades clings on to the basket despite what he's hearing.

Shades peeks around the corner of a building. His shadow, however, seems to have a mind of its own and has its back against the wall.

Shades O' Reilly stands in front of a poster captioned "Martes Martes", depicting a realistic rendition of a pine marten. He looks to the viewer, unimpressed, and says "This is just unrealistic"

If you're surprised by this, Shades, wait til you visit a zoo!

Shades O' Reilly jumps out the window of a building. What he doesn't see on the ground is a thumb tack waiting for him when he lands.

For every jump there's that jolt when you land...

Stars spin around Shades's head as he stands dazed and confused. The bump on his head is a result from an anvil that is bouncing off frame. Little does he know there's also a piano ready to drop...
