Shades stands shocked as a snowball splats him in the face. He is hit with such force his hat and sunglasses fall off.

A piano has just crashed on top of Shades. Still, he sits upright, dazed and confused, and smiles with piano keys for teeth.

Looks like that piano from Day 8 came back after all...

Shades is juggling eggs and he winces as a cracked egg dribbles down his face. It's enough to make him forget about the other three eggs that are still mid-air and coming down fast.

Shades wears swimming trunks, a snorkel and goggles as he swan-dives of a tall diving board aiming for the tiny metal bucket on the ground.

A two-panel comic. The first part shows Shades beaming with pride as he is awarded a gold medal. The second part shows the weight of the medal yanking Shades's neck to the ground. It's heavy enough that it causes cracks on the ground to appear.

Shades dons a party hat and has difficulty blowing out the candle of a birthday cake. He doesn't realise it's actually a lit stick of cartoonish TNT...

Oh sweet, someone brought cake! This candle's a tough one to blow out though...

Kavanagh leans back on her tail and kicks Shades. He holds on to his hat as he soars through the air, leaving a cartoonish trail behind him.

Shades crash lands into Judge Kavanagh's pouch with his paws and tail poking out. She is not thrilled about this.

Pulling from the comedy classics with this one. Brace for landing!

A hyena dressed in the style of a famous DC villain (ahem ahem) loops a scarf around Shades's neck. He threatens him, "Wanna know how I got these scarves?". Shades replies "Uh... Penneys, hun?"

A bat hangs upside-down from a branch (He may or may not resemble a certain DC super hero, ahem ahem). He has one eye open as he peers into Shades. Shades is looking up asking "So are you gonna help solve the case... or just hang around?"

Shades is struck by a bolt of lightning, making his skeleton visible for all.

Day 19 of #ToonJune: Shock
Was wondering what to draw for this one. Then it struck me.

Shades stands over a giant X on a sound stage littered with cartoon props: a rake, a bowling ball, an oversized magnet, a box and a stick of TNT, custard pies and also a tonne weight hanging over him. He shouts "You want me to do WHAT for this scene?" as he reads over the script. Judge Kavanagh sits in the director chair looking on, megaphone in hand. Geez, why can't folks just hit their marks?
