Extremely proud of this endorsement - @peggyflanagan.bsky.social is the climate champion we need!

I hope Center for the American Excrement gives her good health insurance - having to say deliberately stupid stuff all the time as a job would give me digestive issues.

The ICE surge must ramp down as quickly as possible so we can get on with important recovery efforts, such as purging from public life anyone seeking statewide office who thought the federal government brutalizing Minnesota was a fine idea and just what we deserved.

If you think Minnesotans sat around and waited for some politician to tell them to protect their neighbors, oh honey. You don't know Minnesotans at all.

That might be one key reason, but only part of the picture. There's the energy/climate impacts, various unethical uses (deepfakes, porn, etc), educational disruption, job losses, and the fact that you can't build an LLM without massive concentrated capital, to name a few.

Environmental Champion Endorsement: Peggy Flanagan for U.S. Senate - Minnesota DFL Party Environmental Caucus

Very proud to announce this endorsement! Peggy Flanagan is the best choice to build on the outstanding work that Tina Smith (who has also endorsed Peggy!) has done in the Senate. She has my full support!

They had a very sharp angle of attack here on the fraud issue (bolstered by lies, exaggerations, and compliant media) and it's collapsing catastrophically. "Kristi Noem" is for us is becoming what "Sherman" was for whites in Georgia.

Never forget the Minnesota GOP invited Nick Shirley here & plied him with intel, resulting in targeted harassment of innocent people and ultimately, this occupation.

Ok, I've shifted my reporting trip to MSP to next week to catch the couple of days when it will be all the way in the 20s.

Tossing out a call for contacts: I'm looking for folks who are new to activism and who have been pulled into what's happening there in ways they didn't expect. DMs are open.

Any church in America that has stayed neutral or supported the ongoing federal cruelty against Minnesotans should consider what it means to take the Lord's name in vain.

🚨 Today, I formally introduced articles of impeachment against Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

RFK Jr. has turned his back on science and the safety of the American people. Michiganders cannot take another day of his chaos.

🏠Minnesotans need more homes they can afford, and that won’t happen unless we make it easier to build them.

Let lawmakers know that we need action now. Sign the Yes to Homes petition: actionnetwork.org/forms/yes-to...

Rising Home Insurance Premiums Are Eating Into Home Values in Disaster-Prone Areas Changes in the insurance market have started to affect home prices in the most disaster-prone areas, new research finds, pushing some homeowners’ finances to the breaking point.

Climate change may seem like a distant, future issue, but it's an:
- affordability
- housing
- homelessness
issue, TODAY.

The more we push off climate mitigation and resilience actions, the more expensive in $, health, & quality of life it will be for all.

We need to build more houses to bring down costs. Lots of ways to help do that!

None of them entail a fifty year mortgage.

ah, perhaps instead of pumping millions into endless factional infighting Dem donors could invest in making local Dem organizations genuine civic spaces that can reach people during and between elections

Statement from DNC Chair Ken Martin

American voters just delivered a Democratic resurgence. A Republican reckoning. A Blue Sweep. And it happened because our Democratic candidates, no matter where they are, no matter how they fit into our big tent party, are meeting voters at the kitchen table, not the gilded ballroom.

From New Jersey and Virginia and New York, to Georgia and beyond, Democrats ran campaigns relentlessly focused on costs and affordability. They ran on a vision that connected to the core of hardworking families across the country.

And to all the Republicans who have bowed a cowardly knee to Trump all year, consider this: We’re coming after your jobs next. Over the next year, the ability to stop Trump in his tracks runs directly through the Democratic Party. We will earn every vote. We will win.

Counterpoint | Walz is no villain on energy affordability "Minnesotans might not all agree on how to approach the energy transition," Matt Doll writes. "But we can all see the impacts of fossil fuels right in front of our eyes."

False claims that clean energy is less affordable or reliable than fossil fuels are waaaaaaay out of date. Glad the Star Tribune published my op-ed setting the record straight.

When we look around the globe and even around our own country, there are examples of places that have all but eliminated roadway deaths.

We can here in Minnesota too. It starts with roadway designs that prioritize safety above all else, instead of vehicle speeds as has been the norm for decades.
