A whitetip #reef #shark calmly resting under a coral ledge. Unlike many open-water sharks, whitetips can pump water over their #gills while lying still, often using reef caves and overhangs as daytime shelters.

Don’t let the pretty #pink fool you. This is a leaf #scorpionfish, master of disguise and armed with #venomous spines. It mimics a drifting leaf to ambush prey and avoid #predators. Found resting motionless on #reefs, it sheds its skin every few weeks to stay #algae-free.

The fabulous Mobula alfredi #reef #manta #rays are gentle giants of the #ocean, with wingspans reaching up to 5.5 meters! They’re filter feeders, gliding gracefully through the water as they scoop up #plankton.

Encountered a beautiful school of #barracuda - silver, sleek, and moving as one. Their tight formation gives them both #protection and #hunting efficiency. Barracudas are fast, opportunistic #predators known for their streamlined bodies and sharp #teeth.

Spotting #manta #rays is always a breathtaking experience. These large #pelagic filter feeders have wingspans reaching up to 7 meters and possess the highest brain-to-body mass ratio of any #fish. They are classified as #vulnerable due to overfishing and habitat degradation.

This little cube of cuteness is the Ostracion cubicus #yellow #boxfish. Juveniles are especially eye-catching with their bright color and black polka dots. Don’t get too close tho - when stressed, they can release harmful #toxins.
