My father and stepmom are elderly and getting frail. He had a medical issue earlier this year that he is still recovering from (nicely, thank god, because he's always been in decent-to-great health). He has money to take care of most problems and that's a blessing. But I worry. 2/

Talked to my dad today about flying to him (in another state) for the holidays. We agree that given the shutdown and potential for overworked, unpaid, angry airport employees, I am putting a pause on my plans. THIS is what the regime is creating. 1/
