how it started/how it's going

The cool thing about this experience is that while I love most of Prismacolor's supplies. They fail MISERABLY at graphite AND chalk pastels.

And I'm STILL salty about the discontinuation of art stixs -_-

Used one the other day... To get over my fear of hoarding them 😭

I did a wash as best as I could. Hated the result after blending. I go ahead and pull out my cheap ass soft chalk pastels to finish the job.

I googled it and a method to working with those harder ones is just to use water. Makes sense. It was my first thought. It's not a decent fix tho : /

saturated enough that it doesn't matter.

Well, it did. Because the pigment... Just... Wouldn't... BUDGE.

Apparently darker Nupastels are just prone to being so hard that they don't even function.

Immediate annoyance. Tried to switch to another one. Same problem.

Alright. WHATEVER. +

It's going smoothly for almost the entire time. The sketch was fun. Did that in a light brown. Picked a pink that I thought would be fun to start the highlight process (proceeded to ditch this for yellow obviously).

It's when I got to the darks. I wanted a dark red for the hair, but still +

But today's experience pissed me off so bad. I have a full set of Prismacolor Nupastels. I FORGOT why I hated these things.

I decided to stay in a colour group that I'm not used to working. I feel like my art really lacks warm colours by themselves. Alright, well, cool. Let's see how this works out

And I guess I'm the one that's gotta love me differently.

I've felt so connected to my deadname recently. Maybe it's because people in my life haven't made me feel like my chosen name and it's straight up sad.

That person everyone glances at and then apologizes to once they realize how wrong they did them.

People suck. I don't even know why I bother. I love so differently than others and it just gets abused and taken advantage of.

I wish someone would actually SEE me and not glance at me.

You know. Every time I get into a relationship, I always have the best outlook with my fears presented accordingly to my partner.

Every partner does the same shit. They'll match the energy and then slowly drift off. I start to tell them that I don't appreciate it. It turns into a fight.

I'm tired.
