Not a baker by any stretch of the word, but I made my first cake for my wife’s birthday! 2 layer box mix with strawberries, lemoncello jam and strawberry compote in the middle, and some cream cheese icing. I think it came out pretty good considering lack of experience

Also harvested our first serranos today! Not sure why theyre all so small. I think its got something to do with the fact that either 1. The plant needed to have a few buds snipped so it can focus on bigger peppers or 2. Its the plant’s first fruiting.

Either way, very happy with their growth!!!!

My plants have grown more! Got some wildflower seeds sprouting well, the strawberry seeds are seeing some growth, the potatoes I planted a month ago are exploding, the carnivorous plant my coworker got me is so happy eating all the bugs at the new place, and tomatoes are gettin hefty!

I also recently made lemoncello! Fermented the lemons in the alcohol for a month then separated it out, cut the peels up small, and made a lemoncello jam. By far the best jam ive ever made. Almost like biting into a lemonhead or a lemon drop
