JCFJ's Sophie Manaeva writes:
'If public services and community leaders are not connected or engaged with each other, a vacuum is created. Within such a vacuum, misinformation and fear fester.'
Actively working with FBCs is essential to building stronger, healthier communities!
Later today, the @jcfjustice.bsky.social launch a report that demonstrates Irish society has moved decisively into a post-secular stage and it's past time for us all to leave our 20th century kneejerk nu-atheist tendencies behind

03.10.2025 15:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I looked at SST's deadline for last year earlier this week and was relieved it was in January, thinking it would be the same because I am handing my thesis in on the 15th of December.
Now I will have to find some headspace before then to develop one of the ideas that I had put aside until 2026
Image of a poster, a mountain peak with a bright light at the top, expanding outwards in stained glass window rays. Text reads: SST Conference 2026. Theology: A Discipline of Failure? Marika Rose, Dublin City University, Ireland. 13-15 April, The Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick. theologysociety.org.uk

In medicine, βcauseβ always predicates the idea of prevention or cure. I think we need to be clear: what βcausesβ autism is irrelevant, because autism is something which neither needs to be prevented nor cured.
23.09.2025 17:07 β π 18 π 4 π¬ 2 π 0Trump is calling autism βout of controlβ
Noβ¦
Autism stigma is out of control
Ableism is out of control
Inaccessibility to basic healthcare and support is out of control
Suffice to say that the "Amish don't have autism" myth was long ago debunked. It's a case of underdiagnosis.

The book Joining Creation's Praise by Brian Brock on mustardy brown fabric with birds and branches with leaves and flowers which are black and white. For looking at the alt you can know that this is fabric for post PhD shenanigans that also arrived today and despite being 8 metres arrived in a box smaller than the book
The pain of this book arriving today when I can only hope to flick through it for the next month or so rather than properly start it.
