Oof. I’d suggest you try hosting some of that yourself, like Minecraft, but doing that becomes an entire hobby in itself lol.

I made itinerary for someone at work. It’s complex, involves international travel, juggling hotels, multiple business addresses behind security gates

It took 10 minutes to drop 8 addresses into google maps to show where they’re going and where they park/enter.

I wish someone would do this for me.

RealityScan, yes, you're right. I do have a SATA SSD in my computer and I'm glad you want to use that instead of the NVME PCIe SSD that typically has read/write speeds of over 4 gigabytes per second.

The biggest hurdle in giving someone help with 3D scanning and 3D printing is just to convince them to give me a non-cropped, non-zoomed in, non-blurry, non-dark pic/screenshot of wtf is going on. All your crappy pics tell me is you’re embarrassed by your messy room/desktop.

Had a good time yesterday. It was a good day to take 45 minutes to 3d scan a train. We decided we liked the grey train the most, whoever designed it cared to make it neat and tidy, among other less obvious things.

Not knowing to ask for help in a professional environment is normal coming out of college, it’s a new skill. But like, when you’re stuck on a problem for days and don’t ask for help, and you’re told & shown how to ask for help, and it’s the 20th time you haven’t asked your coworkers for help. Wtf?

Lacking a skill is fine, we do OJT, but I’m getting all these smart kids who still can’t learn their basic job expectations after 6 months. It’s weird.

I know how to onboard; give someone a task, let them fail, check in, guide them, repeat. And it’s not working anymore, I don’t get it.

Been hearing about how the job market is impossible if you’re under 25. I work at an engineering firm and we hire if you have ZERO experience, catch is we fire you if you don’t gain any experience.

Our issues with 3/4 recent college grads are: not improving at a task and never asking for help.

Low res chunky compressed HDR Panorama from pics I took in the fall and finally got around to processing.

Meshroom’s HDR Panorama builder works really well.

I took 100 EV bracketed pics free hand and threw them at the default HDR Pano config, it correctly detected 5 pics at 2 steps. I waited 6 hours but when it was done I had a bunch of EXRs, one at a monster resolution.
