Sad to hear that Willie Colon has passed away. 1968's 'The Hustler' is a fantastic introduction to his music, a record that shows another side of sixties New York. Less beads & Afghan coats, more sharp suits & brass sections.

RIP to Willie Colón, a titan of salsa, trombone and music in general. truly one of the architects of a sound that took and continues to take the world by storm. losing him and Eddie Palmieri these past few months have really marked the ends of eras.
