Vestibular disorders affect people's balance as well as their visual perception of their world around them. Don't make animations, sliders, videos, or rapid movement start automatically, as autoplaying elements could trigger a bad reaction in people who have vestibular disorders.

I am almost positive that I only ate half of the sandwich I got for lunch. I'm hungry, which supports this theory. But! I can't find the other half, only the balled up wrapper, and so I believe there is a loose half a steak and cheese sub somewhere in my apartment.

I am an accessibility engineer, I use assistive tech myself, and while I appreciate this suggestion I will in turn suggest that this phrase has become nothing more than a shibboleth and is seldom, if ever, backed up by actually meaningful action. Pop quiz: do images ALWAYS require alt text?

19.02.2026 03:45 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

"If you come across an image without alt text, don't provide an image description for users who need it" is a hell of a take.

19.02.2026 03:34 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Replying to a post with "use alt text" without supplying the missing image description is useless. Stop pretending to care about accessibility when all you want to do is score points off your Posting Enemies.

It's a lot more helpful to provide a description for an image without alt text than it is to simply post a link about the practice. It's great that you're passionate about accessibility, but a link doesn't help screen reader users know what's in an image, and a description does.

I'm also joking, I check your curator page pretty often. If you're open to suggestions I think you might like Paratopic, Daymare Town, and the two Last Door games, I didn't see them on there.

I am begging you to stop curating. I cannot continue to buy games when I haven't played the ones I already own. This situation is untenable.

I have long respected eli_handle_b.wav’s artistry. In my opinion β€œFrank Reynolds in The Last of Us” and β€œHome Alone in Hitman 3” are the highlights of the catalog.

Flashbangs burn hotter then lava.

They've caused serious burns, severed hands, and even killed.

*That's* what ICE just tossed into a car full of kids.

Here's our investigation from 2015, by @juliaangwin.com:

Non-protesting dad just trying to hustle his kids, as young as 6mo, out of the neighborhood. ICE threw a flash-bang INTO HIS car, all 6 kids in the hospital now.

If anyone wondered how things turn against occupying armies there's a case study playing out in front of you.

THREAD: The FDA has made it difficult to find where medications are made. Today we're changing that with our latest tool.

With Rx Inspector, it’s possible to see your drug’s manufacturing facility and what the FDA found during its inspections.

Here's how you can use it. 1/

Got a bad grade on a paper in college because it was mostly about what a jerk Byron seemed like, which is apparently not what professors hope for when they ask students to analyze a poem
