Part of the problem with this country is people don’t travel or meet other people. Where I live in Appalachia everybody’s afraid of the outside world. That’s why they hate everything.

Why are we destroying one of the most beautiful cities in the world when the issue was allegedly their leadership? A leadership that is there because of our interference in the first place.

It will never happen, but I would like to see a national service requirement where high school kids spend one year in another state after graduation helping with national projects. Kind of like the CCC. Even if they don’t get a college education, they get exposure and a broader view of the world.

The Bill addresses characterizing a violent uprising as peaceful. We have many school districts that do not hesitate to rewrite history to favor their view of politics. It was what it was. They’re not telling you how to interpret what happened. They’re just telling you not to misrepresent the facts.

I saw what it was. I know the laws they broke and the harm they did. At the very least, it’s on tape, in real time. It is objectively verifiable. Not subjectively reimagined.

They are legislating teaching facts. Facts are history. Must not be much of a historian.
