Falsos médicos difunden fakes news en las redes sociales Desde hace algunos años, las redes sociales son el medio ideal para lanzar noticias o recomendaciones de todo tipo. Sin embargo, si esos “consejos” son acerca de la salud, es donde saltan las alarmas. Muchos falsos médicos lanzan “fake news” acerca de tal o cual enfermedad. Esto representa un verdadero problema para la medicina y la sociedad en general. Para asegurarse, el medio alemán consultó al especialista en diabetes Andreas Fritsche de la Universidad de Turinga. Si bien las semillas de chía son viables para la salud de personas con diabetes o hipertensión, no curan la enfermedad como lo vaticina el falso médico en el vídeo. El “médico”, también creado mediante IA, afirmaba que ingerir siete almendras molidas, 10 gramos de caramelo de roca, 10 gramos de hinojo acompañados de leche caliente durante 40 días, son la cura perfecta para cualquier enfermedad cerebral.  La cuenta a través de la cual se difundió la “fake news” tiene 200 mil seguidores y obtuvo 3.000 me gusta. Demás está decir que la noticia difundida es falsa.  En otros casos dan consejos para tratamientos caseros, para tratar enfermedades o para el cuidado personal. Según los científicos, es aconsejable comenzar a desconfiar al comprobar que la persona que ofrece el consejo es un bot creado por IA.  Este problema no es nuevo. Durante la pandemia del covid-19, innumerables falsos médicos daban consejos y decían tener la cura para la enfermedad. Las redes sociales son un avance increíble para la sociedad, aunque hay que tener cuidado con las noticias que allí aparecen.

The upper left corner of the image is filled with mostly orange dust, and within that orange dust, there are several small red plumes of gas that extend from the top left to the bottom right, at the same angle.
