Some GOP members of Congress are simply transactional. Some, just want to feel "close" to power no matter how evil it is. And some keep quiet out of fear for their lives and those of their families. Unless lunatics who make threats are tracked down, tried, convicted and sentenced nothing changes.

Long-term apathy and entitlement of the electorate is how we've arrived at this juncture. A civic shoulder shrug by a majority...assuming what they had was guaranteed. That losing freedoms and liberties is something that happens to some "other" marginalized people, somewhere else. Not here.
