Tonight's #Christmas watch: THE GRINCH (2018).
A very safe and unoriginal re-adaptation of a story done way better in live-action back in 2000. Never liked the Grinch is too nice from the start, it results in being a green version of Despicable Me.

Hot take: if we're gonna have high school bully characters in period piece movies set in the 1980s-2000s ... people gotta accept that they're gonna use problematic language because the alternative is defanging cruelty which betrays the experiences those of us on the receiving end lived through.

I also got the chance to see it on the big screen last night. I absolutely did not cry at the end, stop claiming I did. You weren't there.

#Christmas decorating in full swing, and what better soundtrack to play us through than the seminal classic #HomeAlone!

I can remember the entire cinema going deathly silent, such an amazing reaction!

It's taken a year since its initial cinematic release, but GODZILLA MINUS ONE - otherwise known as the best movie of 2023 - has finally hit physical media here in the UK. And yes, that's also the 4K release of the OG Godzilla, which I will get to very soon!

A rather Grinch-y day to kick off December: Screening the top-tier variant on the big screen at work, now watching the (assumedly) trash-tier variant on the TV. Making everyone jealous I imagine.

📽️ Rewatching a classic: HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON (2010)
Easily one of the finest animated movies in recent years. And watching it again makes the job at the upcoming remake that much harder. Heading back into 2019 Lion King times of unnecessary. This still rules.
