Dumping Google’s enshittified search for Kagi Enough is enough: I’ve jettisoned Google in favor of a search engine that doesn’t treat me like a product.

Claim of the moment: "Google expects you to be a good consumer and just take it."

Dame Stella Rimington, former MI5 director general, dies at 90 Dame Stella was the first female director general of the service and the first to be publicly identified.

RIP Dame Stella, an entrancing speaker, the first female head of the UK's MI5, and a consummate spymaster.

"She died surrounded by her beloved family and dogs." There are worse ways to go.

Marking 13 Years on Mars, NASA’s Curiosity Picks Up New Skills - NASA New capabilities allow the rover to do science with less energy from its batteries.

I was at @NASAJPL to watch Curiosity send back that first image. It's the last time I applauded at a press conference, then filed my copy, and got wankered at 2am with other journos.

The landing seemed impossible but NASA nailed it. Happy solar orbit day to the rover that could.

MiSTer FPGA running Lotus Turbo Challenge on the Amiga Core. Testing a Retro Frog Joystick

Spending my evening exploring some Amiga games I've never played on my MiSTer FPGA. I'm also testing this @retrofrog.bsky.social Joystick. Second button can be mapped to any CD32 Button you want, or flip a switch and it's mapped to UP. That's so cool. Rapid Fire is insane!

Study: The ozone hole is healing, thanks to global reduction of CFCs An MIT-led study confirms the Antarctic ozone layer is healing as a direct result of global efforts to reduce ozone-depleting substances.

Time for some good news! The human world can work together to solve environmental challenges, just like the Montreal Protocol & elimination of CFCs started in the 1980s. By 2035, the ozone β€œhole” may be completely closed all year long! This Government thanks you all!
