The weather was horrible today. Bft 6 winds and rain. But I went, I rode, I bought, I took it home.
In two weeks, it will get its standard service bikes tend to get when bought, and some accessory lights fitted :)
I just did not want to wait 2 bikelees weeks, with my old bike being broken.

What rather baffles me, is why they used a gen 1 K1200LT (1998 - 2003) radio control panel. It looks _so_ out of place on that bike. Maybe BMW had a good amount of those laying about gathering dust?

Honestly, this wasn't planned. Sadly the drive shaft of my K1200LT is shot. So that, alongside with some other expensive replacements made me decide to go look for something else.
The total costs would just be too much compared to it's value (it's from 2004).

Another bike I'm considering for my next ride, is a Goldwing GL1800. So it's that, or a K1600. Two cruiser behemoths. I need to find a place where I can rent one for a day or so, to get a good feeling of it. #motosky

So tomorrow my bike will be serviced.
The shop has a small fleet of ex police and ambulance R1250RT's as loaners, but I'll try to see if I can book an "extended testride" on an K1600GT that's for sale. The K1600 is a bike I'm considering for my next bike, and I want to know how it handles #motosky
