so my shift last night was busy and fun and then i slept in until 11 this morning, went for a bike ride, did a load of laundry and some gardening, tidied the house and played with the cats, and now i'm sitting down to have a meal before i go back to work

kind of luxuriating in the fact I did a hectic emergency clinic shift today but my new rota means I dont have to be in work until 4pm tomorrow

it's my last week in anaesthesia before moving to intensive care and if i had any doubts about it this week obliterated them. i've stayed hours late every day and haven't had lunch earlier than 4pm and the enitre hospital is pure overextended chaos. pls give me strength for 1 more day of this
