Two further commercial bins have been seized from the Island Road area of #Barry today, after the business to which they belong has repeatedly defied a S.47 Notice to place the bins outside of their premises.
Not only does this obstruct pedestrians, it encourages flytipping.
π This Christmas, don't let your festive clean-up lead to illegal fly-tipping!
Always check your waste carrier is licensed before handing over your rubbish. Protect your community and avoid fines.

Bags of household waste should not be disposed of in public waste bins.
Sadly, this is becoming a regular problem, as is our Cleansing Colleagues coming across used and uncapped needles in those bins.
Public waste bins are for pocket litter only.
Two #Barry residents have today each been issued with a Β£300 FPN for failing in their duty of care.
Both also failed to engage with our Waste Crime officers and will now be prosecuted for obstruction offences under S.108 Environment Act 1995.

Please help us to keep our communities clean by separating your household waste and presenting it for collection properly.
