What IS the deal with crosswalks anyway? I remember when TGS and other neighborhoods started paying to get custom crosswalks painted, and suddenly there was this big outcry, as if they had violated some sacred trust.

Isn't it just pathetic that we even need training to tell us what to do in that situation?

The bummer is he really WANTS to cuddle, but his manners aren't great.. Thus, the target of his affection usually gets a muzzle full of distressing moist before they can access the warm cuddle curls. It is very jarring.

My son's dog - a standard-sized goldendoodle - is staying with us for a few days. He is very curly-fluffy and looks like he would be so much fun to cuddle. However, somehow there is ALWAYS part of him (usually his chin) that is surprisingly and unexpectedly wet.

Incidentally, local friends: if you haven't seen the Science Center's exhibit on Pompeii, definitely go. It's extremely well done, and (despite the levity in the photo of my daughter) very moving.

I've spent the past three months trying to pull together data for PS's 2005-2015 sessions so we can finally calculate accurate stats. I just clicked 'import'.... OMG the stress.

We got home from Botany2025 in time to see Dear Evan Hansen on the Muny stage during one of the most beautiful nights of this St. Louis summer! That's a win!

Another great moment for us at #Botany2025! When we learned our plenary speaker would be unable to speak as planned, Dr. Catrina Adams stepped up and gave the plenary in her place. She did an AMAZING job of highlighting PlantingScience's 20 years of supporting plant education!
