Randell and Milkdrop looking over "Spirit", a new locomotive kit soon to be released posing on the working in progress Gadwall Estate model railway.

Randell has taken up the reigns to make sure all is good on Gadwall Estate with a new engine. Milkdrop popped over from the station to see what the fuss is.

Been trying to find time to get more of the layout done, but things keep getting in the way of progress!

One benefit to the hot weather, acrylics, transfers and varnishes dry quicker allowing me to finish off 'Phase 1' of lining on the @gubbinboxmodels.bsky.social 'Ella'. Even decided to go totally nuts and start lining the weatherboard. Now to pluck up the courage for 'Phase 2'...

That's lush! Need to get around painting and lining my own

Minimum gauge layout beckons!

Currently going through testing! They very much work as couplings as is, but I want to experiment with magnets and wires to see if they can be "automated"

The whole stand with NG7 and O9 Gauge kits, with a few Willowmere County miniatures sprinkled in.

Lord Gadwall and Theo the Fox keep watch over the green Sirdar (yet to be named and finished).

3D printed Duffield Bank Railway "Effie" the first locomotive built by Sir Arthur Heywood.

Also out is a static Duffield Bank "Effie" !

She was Sir Arthur's first locomotive constructed for the Duffield Bank Railway in 1875. Named after his wife, she was largely an experiment for his ambitions in getting minimum gauge railways off the ground.

This kit represents "Ella" as she was rebuilt in 1900.

To motorise Ella a Graham Farish Class 08 and RT Models - Replacement Round End Locomotive Coupling Rods, Single Slide Bar Cross Heads and 13mm Connecting Rods need to be purchased seperately in order to complete the kit.

A photo posed on Gadwall Estate, as Randell the Ferret and Lord Gadwall himself inspect over Randell's newest creation, a smaller Effie. Locos and miniatures are 3D resin printed kits made by myself.

Lord Gadwall broke the silence; "what do you think my dear fellow?"
Randell did a double take. "It might be a bit too... tiny? Perhaps, for us."
But the Lord didn't reply, he merely considered the possibilities of what else he could purchase in time.
