after 30 years of beading, i’m finally learning weaving

after struggling on the first row, my fingers started getting into a steady weaving rhythm on the second ☺️

northern lights are out again! whistled at them and they started dancing across the sky above me

gotta get up early so can’t watch them tonight, but have fun everyone in alaska who’s awake right now

they’re out in sitka too!

welp… i mean, they can try

but there’s a lot more that goes into this and the local municipality could definitely put up roadblocks

permitting, infrastructure (water/wastewater), taxes, etc.

a “replica” tlingit village?

why not use those funds to build and support a real one that empowers local douglas clans??

this place is full of wonder, beauty, and the kind of magic that feeds your soul

came home after watching the northern lights and saw deer in the driveway. i pulled in, parked the car, then got out and took a walk with the deer while the northern lights danced above us
