Gui would be antagonist/boss kind of character in an affinity mission. She keeps her circle tight, and doesn't let just anyone in (granted I still have to etch this out, but baseline you have to fight her either way). After that, you can add her to your party.

True...I do make arts with the idea someone will be fighting my Cross, so I can scale them for specific engagements. Boss Gui vs PC Gui 🤔

I do keep away from arts that can make my character insanely OP, but in events I make powerful arts, I give them a duration and huge drawback.

But to double the duration, all of those conditions have to be met.

Actually- looking at this art again i feel like it an extended duration could be unlocked under specific conditions 🤔

All teammates have to be incapacitated, you have to be at a certain amount of health, or calculated odds of winning have to be low. The 15s duration can still apply,
