Suicide is a difficult topic.

"Do you want a dead daughter or a live son" puts parents in an impossible position, unfairly pressuring them down a single path.

There is never a single cause of suicide. Suicide is multifactorial.

Promoting suicide is both reckless and irresponsible.

They should make it free unless you fail and if you do you should pay for every passed test up to that point.

The women have to pay to prove they are women.
The men don't have to pay.

I fully subscribe to the foreign-language compartment of the brain theory (and I'm a neuropsychologist so I should know) and you may guess from that list that my compartment is very full.

I have been a German-avoider since I was 11, having learned French, Latin, Ancient Greek, Modern Greek, Swahili, and Spanish in that time. I have now started German on Duolingo just so I can order bread (as that's all I can say so far) when I'm in Germany at the end of the month.

It's only half the world, who cares.
