A phone photo of Obscure Wainscot. It’s the only shot I got, the moth flew away when I turned my back to pick up a pot. Nevertheless, the veins are strongly marked white and a white spot and a complete row of black dots are present.

Some of our wildlife is struggling. While wader monitoring found several dead young Lapwings

Last night there was a moorland fire in the valley where most of England's twite are now nesting. This is terrible news.
