Two quilts for same client. First is a repair, some flowers and new binding. The other was a Xmas gift. Daughter's shirts with hearts and butterflies. Very fun!

The clock runs out
I begin to pout
I need more time
To complete my rhyme

Snowed in today. Luckily I got to bring stuff home to work on. Took over the whole downstairs. Tshirt quilt is the first project. Pepper and Bonnie B are supposed to be supervising

We sit together in silence
Me, reading my book
You, curled up contemplating life
Suddenly, you are up
by the door
I go to open the door
It's a beautiful day

But no
You return to your chair

What to do when you have 2 granddaughters and one quilt? Both want it. Well, you have someone divide it in half after repairs! Covered 8 while middles, 15 ovals, 10 4 patches and 61 small assorted color squares. Put binding on cut edge. Whew! Enjoyed it but glad this project is done!

Wall hanging I created back in the day for a fabric challenge with the blue. Hand appliqued, hand quilted with beading on crest of wave. Titled "Ridin' the Wave" had fun with it!

The full moon beams down through the canopy of trees filtering shadows onto the surface below. Soft hoots echo around the woods. An owl couple checking each other's whereabouts. Whispered air lifting wings signal the pair taking flight. Evening hunt has begun.

This quilt was part of their fire exhibit.
Michelle Jackson (Sandia Park, NM) worked at creating a memory she holds of the warmth and fascination of a campfire.
She used hand dyed & painted fabric plus raw edge fused applique.

Embroidery with various pictorial motifs including plants, birds and a circle of female figures

Kantha in Bengali means cloth, traditionally made from the best parts of old worn saris or dhotis. Also the name of a way of stitching in which variations of running stitch are worked though all the layers of cloth, quilting them together, creating intricate designs #WomensArt

I love when clients have an idea for their quilts! This lady loves red white and blue and this is the result.

Like a girl on fire

All quilted and black binding on! Gotta let my client know then On to the next...

Finally have the top together. Of course I figured wrong and only made enough for half a top. Had to spend a day making more! Math is not easy for me. Tomorrow, put on my longarm and quilt, then binding.

Next step for this quilt: blocks are done. Now to sew those together.
