Ah, the spectacle of watching virulently anti-American white Canadian (sub)urbanites actively import American racial identity politics so they can virtue signal and pander to racial communities.

The Liberal art of uttering soothing words runs up against the reality of their inability to actually do things. Canadians are gullible dopes.

No, they didn't look closer. It's (not) the Blue Jays.

In a career that's hit for the cycle, as a player, a manager and a broadcaster, Buck Martinez is quite simply Mr. Blue Jay. His voice, (like Tom Cheek's and Jerry Howarth's before him), his signature "get up ball, get up" was the backbeat to an era of Blue Jays baseball. Thank you Buck. Take a bow!

And yet being able to quote literature is useless talent that I'd rank well below swapping out a tire or changing a lighbulb.

He would never be so reckless, manipulative and callous to stoop so low that he'd use a tragedy--let alone one involving a child--to advance a personal interest. He's not the crusading type.

That verdict got dispensed rather quickly by the venerable, cool and dispassionate Judge Devine. Lucky for us, we can have full confidence in the quality of his decision. He is of unimpeachable character, who thoroughly collects and scrutinizes the facts before rendering his decisions.

Was there any discussion surrounding the growing trend

Glenroy is a fantastic guy, a gentleman really, and he still looks like he could expertly run that second leg in 4x100. It's a sad indictment on Ottawans, that this national hero on the track and role model off of it, is virtually unknown and uncelebrated by locals.

...cancellations occur as frequently as they do on the not so devine 82? Six to nine months is demanding a lot from riders whose lives are constantly being disrupted due to piss poor service.

To sum, two measures that would reduce runtimes and one that would address reliability. Of the former, no firm date for one, another in six to nine months (fingers crossed). It's remarkable when the LRT is not in service R1 buses spring into action. Is there no spare capacity to do likewise when...

If you read my previous posts you would know I read your January 20 novelette. The "improvements" as you call them, are more accurately characterized as commitments by OC Transpo to "examine proposals". MEANINGFUL improvements would be concrete actions where riders could reasonably expect reduced...

And I tend to think "concern" about the wellbeing of Albertans in a sovereign Alberta is far less an issue for Cdns (like youself) than the dark reckoning that without Alberta, the wealth, prosperity and viability of Canada would be in peril.

Certainly none with Alberta's natural resource wealth.

Further, Canada could not legally landlock AB. Under international law (see UNCLOS part 10) landlocked states have equal right of access to sea through neighboring states.

Alberta is effectively already landlocked from accessing tidewater while a "valued and respected equal partner" in Confederation. An independent Alberta, however, would effectively landlock BC and act a barrier for the transiting of goods from the Pacific to Central Canada.
