That was my comment exactly. They're essentially bringing back parking minimums. This current council has been disappointing, from allowing low rise sprawl to this and more.

I think it's the best they could get with a Council that doesn't seem to value walkability or public space.

Of course, the real issue here is a lack of leadership on the part of Bob Fletcher.

A good reminder that police can choose actions that make us safer, or choose to be reckless action-movie-wannabes, and they too often chose the second one, with predictable results.

I feel like we should throw a celebration party at the Loon to mark this occasion.

This morning I was about to have to take evasive actions to avoid getting hit in a crosswalk by a driver turning right without looking my way, but instead he pulled out his phone and started staring down at that.

If we get through this, the U.S. will have to dramatically change its relationship with the International Criminal Court and be okay with sending a lot of Americans there.

Instead, when I've done that to people, I've had them literally lose their mind and give me the finger, honk, yell, etc. Driving cars make some people just go unhinged.

clearly the secret correct answer is that both of these are worse than the gen x option: to have cognition so dulled by lead poisoning that you are entirely insulated from any possible impact of these intrusive thoughts.

This is half the problem with the United States waging unnecessary wars in other places. Americans themselves have no idea how horrible and disruptive this violence is to other people, but instead only feel inconvenienced by how much it will cost to fuel their fucking SUV.

What's SPPW policy on temporary sign placement? There was more than ample space in the boulevard for this sign, yet it was placed blocking the bike lane, meaning the bike lane wasn't "closed ahead", but closed now.
