We were out in force yesterday in Chelmsford Central, knocking on doors and speaking to hundreds of residents!

People told us they’re fed up with crumbling roads, local pharmacies closing, and feeling unsafe on our streets.

Let’s get Helen, Sean and David elected on 1st May to work hard for you πŸ”Ά

'Concern' over closures of dozens of pharmacies across Essex There have been almost 30 pharmacies to have closed permanently in Essex

Five pharmacies have closed across Chelmsford in just 2 years. This is having a profound impact on the elderly and those in need of regular medication.

As @mariecgoldman.bsky.social says the government needs to step up quickly and address this issue.

Huge survey reveals seven social classes in UK The largest-ever survey of social class, conducted by the BBC, suggests there are now seven social classes in the UK.

Of course people are going to want to make themselves appear as "with the people" by saying they are working class, but actually the terms are generally outdated and simplistic, even if easy to understand.

Something like this 2013 study makes more sense: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-2200...

Growing communities across the UK need healthcare, transport, and service infrastructure, not just housing.

The government must restore trust in local planning and build for the future.

β€œGreater Essex” is such a weird term. I know it includes Southend and Thurrock now but not sure what’s wrong with just Essex!

We held the official opening for John Shennan Field as a Local Nature Reserve yesterday!

Local residents, your local Lib Dem councillors (like @simonmg.bsky.social) and council officers have worked really hard to make this a reality and protect the land for future generations 🌍

Supporting primary care services like GP practices and pharmacies are absoutely critical to resolving our wider public health crisis.

With huge rising costs this is putting people at even more risk.

I encorage everyone to sign Marie's petition!

As the MP for Chelmsford, I’m keen to get to know all services that support residents. Last Friday, I visited Chelmsford Fire Station. We’re lucky to have an amazing team here. If you’re passionate about helping others, you can sign up here to volunteer: www.essex-fire.gov.uk/volunteering
